Digital Membership - FAQs

  • Your digital membership card has 5 main functions:

    1. Get instant time and location-based important notifications from TARFish, whether it is catch reporting, season openings and closures, and special offers.

    2. Keeps your member info handy and easily accessible, including your unique membership ID number

    3. The QR Code on your digital card is your pass to great fishing events and member-only activities.

    4. Easy access to fishing resources like the rock lobster fishing app, Tasmanian fishing guide, and more.

    5. Participate in research and provide feedback on key issues.

    6. Provides discounts to participating retail stores such as Tackle/Bait stores, Fuel Stations, etc.

  • Below are the steps for installing your digital membership card. You might have already installed other digital cards, like airline boarding passes or vaccine certificates, in the past. The process is the same for your TARFish member card!

    How to download your card:

    1. Open the email or SMS with your membership card that you have received from TARFish. You can open this email on your phone, computer or tablet. If you haven’t received this email (or lost it) - you can request a new digital card by sending an email to TARFish@litecard.com.au with your full name, email, DoB and Postcode.

    2. On a smartphone: tap the download link in either the email or SMS to install your card.

    On a computer or tablet: grab your smartphone, and point your phone at the QR code displayed in the email. This will open the download link on your phone.

    3. Once you’ve opened the download link on your smartphone (using one of the two methods above) a preview of your new member card should pop up on your phone. Simply tap the option to ‘add this card to your wallet’ and that’s it - you’re ready to go.

  • Here are 2 other ways you can get a membership card:

    1. Screenshot your digital card: At the bottom of the email that delivered your membership card, there is an image of your new digital membership card with the same QR code and details, that work the same as the one you would otherwise install on your phone. You can take a screenshot of this and store it somewhere safe, or pull up the email again and show this image when you need it.

    I lost the original email with my digital card - how can I get a new one?

    You can always request a new card by emailing TARFish@litecard.com.au with your full name, email, DoB and Postcode.

  • TARFish supports a digital card and members will not have to download an app to store or use the card. Instead, it is stored on the mobile wallet (Apple Pay or Google Wallet).

    It is a lightweight digital version of your membership that allows you to check your key fishing requirements, active campaigns and access exclusive member information.
